It is a modern building from 1969 and a contemporary facade was built in 1986 in an attempt to make the hotel blend in with its surroundings. The hotel is actually split into two blocks with the furthest block only 45 seconds walk from the reception and restaurant. The lobby is large and has been refurbished for a comfortable welcome to the hotel. Warm colours have been used with light woods, and tartan fabrics. There are roaring log fires and rugs on the floor.
