It is located between Lisbon and Oporto, amidst the "Bussaco National Park", a spectacular and serene landscape of 105 hectares virgin centuries-old walled forest, planted by the Order of the Barefoot Carmelites in the 17th Century, and renowned by arborists worldwide. From Oporto Intl. Airport: take direction south/A1 Highway and once you are on the highway take exit "Mealhada". Turn first on your left after the toll and follow straight till you get to a roundabout where you will turn the third on your right, passing next to a medical center. After crossing a bridge over the railroad, you will get to another roundabout where you will get the second on your right. At the next roundabout, turn again on the second on your right to Luso, taking the national road EN234. When passing through Luso, continue on the main road and do not follow the first signs "Mata do Buçaco" on your right. After leaving the last houses of the village, continue climbing the hill until the first road on your right with the sign "Hotel/Mata do Buçaco". Pass the entrance of the National park and turn on your left, which leads you to the hotel.
