Inter-hotel Terminus located in town center, opposite of the railway station and bus station. Le Havre-de-Grâce was created by Francis I in 1517, on the right bank of the Seine estuary, to solve the silting up of Honfleur harbour and to compensate for the partial destruction of the port of Harfleur. Having started out as a military, fishing and trade port, Le Havre was converted into a war port by Richelieu and Vauban in the 17th century. Several fine examples of Le Havre architecture are standing today. With its old stones, museums, music, theatre, dancing and reading, Le Havre has something for everyone, for every age or season.
