For the outdoor enthusiast the hotel is perfectly located. From the front door you can join one of Scotlands newest designated walks - the Cateran Trail, a 60 mile circular walk taking in local hills, forests and rivers. The open terrain and forest tracks are also proving more and more popular for keen mountain bikers of varying experience. During the winter months (conditions permitting), Glenshee Ski lies 30 minutes to the north and is suitable for all abilities from beginners to the experienced.
